2026 marks the beginning of a new chapter for the awards. The project, which for years was known as HOLA EMPY Awards, officially evolves into HOLA AWARDS—a clearer, more solid identity aligned with the growth of HOLA as a media and community ecosystem.

Why is the name changing from HOLA EMPY Awards to HOLA AWARDS?

The name change reflects the project's natural evolution. Beginning in this new phase, the awards become part of HOLA Media Group, with a vision for national growth, a distinct editorial identity, and a structure designed to further develop recognition for the Latin community in Canada.

The goal is not to erase the history that has been built, but to provide continuity under a brand that better represents the future of the awards.
